October Update DR

Dear Partners,

Hurricane Matthew is heading for Haiti. We are actually located 4 hours east of the boarder so we are not sure if we will feel the effects. Please pray for God’s protection and wisdom during this storm. We will update as needed.

In August, Megan became extremely jaundice and we had to take her back to the States for further evaluation and testing. After 4 days in the hospital, the doctor determined she had an adverse reaction to an antibiotic previously taken. As we saw her bilirubin numbers decrease, we (Tami and I) returned to our ministry. However, after many prayers, blood tests and medicine, she is recovering and almost 100 percent healed.

Praise the Lord, that Isaura did not abort her baby. We first met this young lady when she was pregnant. She received advice from her doctor to abort her baby. She came into our church one Sunday morning and we prayed with her and begged her to obtain another opinion. Thanks be to God that little Ismael was born healthy without complication. Also, please continue to pray for the spiritual growth for Isaura.

Friday night “in-home” discipleship: We began discipleship class in the homes of our members. We are so excited to see the spiritual progress from this new endeavor. Additionally, we had 5 new adults visit our church from this effort.

Child Development Center: The center is doing great and the Lord has provided a full time helper in the kitchen. This was a major need in order to allow my assistant Kelvis to help me during the instructional time. This ministry is making a profound impact in the community.

May God’s richest blessing fall upon you! Thank you for your interest in our ministry!
