Fantastic Month of Ministry

In the month of July we hosted two mission teams to help us with our ministry efforts here in Santiago. We were so blessed to have three different churches represented and each person brought a tremendous value. We hosted 2 vacation bible schools, one in the local public school and one in our new ministry center. Each day the gospel was presented and new relationships were made with the families in our community.

On the last day of VBS, hosted in the public school, we presented the director (Giselda) with two large boxes of school supplies and a large assortment of playground balls. Additionally, we prayed over her for the upcoming school year. We have an open door to minister in the public school which is just down the street from our church.

We conducted two children presentations of singing and reciting scripture in our new worship center and invited the parents, grandparents and aunts and uncles to attend. We had a great turn out each time, after the presentation we moved the children downstairs and I presented the gospel. Many came for the very first time; this was a great method to allow the children to present what they have learned during the year at the Child Development Center and to share the truth of God’s plan of Salvation and discipleship.

Neighborhood Evangelism: Team members were sent into the community in groups of 3 or more with translators. The mission team members had the opportunity to share their salvation testimony, and lead several to pray to receive Christ. We have already seen fruit from these efforts with new people attending our services. Construction: We were also able to finish out the auditorium restrooms, with drop ceilings, new lighting, and mirrors. Additionally, install other lights, blinds, paint and miscellaneous items. One team member was able to paint two murals in our Kids Zone classrooms. This has added a great finishing touch! Phase 3: The next and final phase of construction on the new ministry center is to finish out the small lumber yard and convert it into an activity center. We are praying for God to supply this need and we look forward to utilizing this space for the young people and a safe play area for the Child Development Center. Thank you again for your faithful prayers and support! To God be the Glory! Earl, Tami, Megan and Morgan Hammons
