Haitian Ministry Update: Combined Worship Service

My friend Pastor Kevin Gibson accompanied me to Santiago to visit the ministry and encourage the leadership and members. We had a wonderful combined worship service on Sunday May 5. The Haitian Choir sang, the Dominican children performed and then I preached a sermon from Acts 1:8 about the power of the Holy Spirit in missions. Pastor Smith translated into Creole and it was one of the most dynamic services we have experienced in Barrio Nuevo. We are truly the family of God!

At the conclusion of the combined service, we baptized 5 young people. All of the candidates for baptism have been reached through our Child Development Center. All praise to God! We are raising up future spiritual leaders in this community.

Louisiana Baptist University: I returned from the Dominican and the very next day, Tami and I drove to Shreveport and taught a 3 hour workshop. I gave the highlights of my new book, “40 Days to Avoiding Leadership Pitfalls.” In addition to this teaching opportunity, I preached in the chapel service the following day. God gave great favor during this time of investing in others to live boldly for Christ.

This week we will be attending a mission conference in Florida. We are asking God to inspire further involvement in the Great Commission.

Thank you for your faithful financial support to help us Love, Go and Serve! You are a blessing!
