Hammons Mission August Update
Updated: Oct 7, 2020
Dear Ministry Partners,
The last week tropical storm/hurricane Isaias came through the country on the east side of the island. Although, the city of Hato Mayor was flooded, we only experienced the normal flash flooding. We praise God for the protection over our ministry and pray for the recovery of those on the east side.
Corona Virus/ Worship Services
The country is under lock down in the evenings. If someone is out past 7pm they may be arrested. But praise the Lord, we have been able to conduct morning worship services in our churches.
Also, we are thankful for those who have given to provide another food distribution. We were able to provide relief to the families of the Dominican and Haitian church of Barrio Nuevo.
Bible Distribution/ New Tables for Haitian Creole Bible Institute
A partner of Hammons Mission sent Haitian Creole New Testaments. This is a huge blessing to continue our evangelistic and discipleship efforts. Praise the Lord we were able to provide 14 new tables to the Institute as well.
Although the country is locked down in the evenings, we were able to complete our final exams in the Dominican and Haitian Bible Institutes.
Thank you again for your faithful financial support and prayers. We are moving forward as God prepares the path before us.
