Dr. Lonnie “Earl” and Tami Hammons have served in full time ministry for over 32 years, including Senior Pastor of three churches, and in two Christian schools. Tami has served in office administration for many years.

After visiting the country of the Dominican Republic in 2009, God began to confirm in their hearts a deep passion to bring the hope of Jesus Christ to the people of this country. They transitioned into full-time missions and launched Hammons Mission in November 2011.  They served in country 10 times before completing the partnership development phase of their ministry.

In May of 2014, they moved to the Dominican Republic to begin the process of language and culture acquisition. In January 2016, their oldest daughter Megan, answered the call to fulltime missions, resigned her career as a hairstylist, and joined the effort. Also in January 2016, they began, their ministry of Church Planting, and began a Child Development Center. In September of 2017, the first Seminary campus to train ministry leaders and future church planters was launched.  In 2020, Haitian Creole Seminary campuses were started in 2 locations. Now, the Seminary and Leadership Institute is training leaders in Haiti and the Dominican Republic in 5 locations throughout.

Earl and Tami Hammons have another daughter Morgan who is married to Julian Walters. They live in Dallas, Texas and enjoy serving in the Dominican Republic as often as possible.
